Welcome to the Little Church with a Big Heart
The Guerneville Community Church is a friendly, diverse,
tolerant, & caring community of faith, led by our beloved
Pastor Pamela Tinnan. We seek to follow & emulate Jesus
Christ's wisdom & all-encompassing love, & hence welcome
you into our Church, regardless of your gender, sexual orientation,
economic status, ethnicity, or religion.
- Sunday worship 10am-11am: Please join us for Pastor
Pam Tinnan's inspiring, thoughtful, compassionate, often
humorous, & occasionally tear-jerking sermons. We also
sing hymns; have a special "children's time;"
& share joys, sorrows, & prayers.
- Childcare & Sunday School: We have childcare
for little ones during Church services. We also provide
Sunday School education for children ages 3 & up, featuring
key biblical stories, prayers, inspirational songs, &
related creative, hands-on projects & activities, followed
by supervised free play in our enclosed playground.
- Sunday Fellowship/Potluck lunch 11am-12pm: Church
services are followed by lively socializing amongst fun
& weloming folks who bring a delicious assortment of
foods.
- Location: 14520 Armstrong Woods Rd, Guerneville,
CA 95446 (A half mile from downtown Guerneville, just past
the library & on the left). Our phone number is (707)
869-2514. Our Church is situated in Guerneville, California,
along the Russian River & within view of the majestic
redwoods, tall mountains, & vineyards which characterize
our part of Sonoma County.
- Denomination: We are members of the United
Church of Christ, which was founded on the fundamental
principle of openness, tolerance, & intellectual inquiry.
We believe that do not have to agree on every aspect of
Christian doctrine in order to come together as a community.
- Affiliations: The Guerneville Community Church
shares its space with several key organizations in our little
lower Russian River community, including: Guerneville Head
Start Preschool; KGGV FM
local radio; & the local chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Pastor Pam also hosts a Street Ministry, works with St.
Andrews Church in Monte Rio to host weekly services &
dinners on Tuesday evenings; & has been active with
our local Interfaith Coalition.
Thank you for visiting our Web site. We hope you'll also
come & visit our church. This is our first venture into
the World Wild Web. We'll gradually publish more information
about us, upgrade our Webhosting account to get rid of the
advertisements on top, etc. & we hope you'll be patient
with us in the meantime.
